Ignacio Bahamondes (14-4) is building some momentum after his disappointing UFC debut. He made his entrance as the favourite against veteran John Makdessi (2021) and lost a split decision. He responded well starting with his unforgettable spinning wheel kick knockout in the last five seconds of his fight with Roosevelt Roberts (2021). He then went on to submit Zhu Rong (2022) and earn a unanimous decision over late replacement Trey Ogden (2023)

Ludovit Klein’s (19-4-1) UFC debut went very differently knocking out Shane Young (2020) with a beautiful head kick. He then went on to lose two on the bounce snapping an eight-fight win streak. He got outpointed by Mike Trizano (2021) and submitted by Nate Landwehr (2021). He responded with decisions over Devonte Smith (2022) and Mason Jones (2022) and is now coming off a draw with Jai Herbert at UFC 286.

Bahamondes boasts his usual height and reach advantage and this should be a key factor as they are both strikers by trade.

Klein is more technical and can close the difference well, but Bahamondes uses his reach very well with an exciting arsenal of attacks. We expect the striking exchanges to be very competitive and if Bahamondes begins to land, expect Klein to shoot in for a takedown.

Unfortunately for him, the Chilean also has exceptional takedown defence which should force the majority of the fight on the feet where we expect his output and reach to land more damage.

There is always value on Klein whenever he is the underdog as he oozes class, but this is a tough match-up for him and we are leaning towards Bahamondes.
