Indiana Pacers vs. Milwaukee Bucks Prediction, Preview, and Odds

The Indiana Pacers are traveling to Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to face the Milwaukee Bucks. Indiana has a record of 13-8 this season and sits fifth in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee is third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 16-7. The Bucks won three of their four games against the Pacers last season. The game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST.

Pacers' Top Offense

The Indiana Pacers are traveling to Milwaukee after their win on Monday to the Detroit Pistons with a final score of 131-123. This would be the fourth win in a row for the Pacers as they continue to dominate this season on offense. Indiana is averaging 127.6 points per game, placing them at the top of the league in scoring. They are achieving this even though they are the sixth worst team at offensive rebounds. Even their three point shooting percentage while good is not number one as it stands at ninth overall at 37.6%. What makes the Pacers stand out is their efficiency at shooting field goals as they are number one in field goal attempts, made, and shooting percentage.

However, while they are the top team in scoring ,they are also the second worst team in defending. The Pacers are allowing 124.7 points per game this season. Interesting enough the Pacers are number one in three pointers attempts against and made but are ranked 27th in opponent three point shooting percentage which sits at 38.2%.

Buck's Second Best Offense

The Milwaukee Bucks are hosting the Indiana Pacers after their win on Monday to the Chicago Bucks that finished with a score of 133-129. This win would come after their loss to the Pacers which finished with a score of 119-128. The Bucks are showing the Pacers that they are not the only top scoring team in the NBA. Milwaukee is averaging 122.6 points per game this season but unlike the Pacers, their success is coming from the three point line. The Bucks are having great success at the three point line as they rank fourth overall in three pointer shooting percentage. While they are second in field goal shooting percentage, the Bucks do not make as much attempts at field goals as they do at the three point line with their field goal attempts per game ranking 19th overall.

Similar to the Pacers the Bucks are not defending that well this season as they are allowing 119.2 points per game. A major issue for the Bucks is their inability to stop their opponents from shooting field goals as they are last in field goal attempts against per game.

Rating:

I wanted to pick Milwaukee on the moneyline or a small spread but I think the line is way too much in the Bucks favor. While I do believe the Bucks are going to want revenged after their loss two games ago to the Pacers, I do not think Milwaukee is going to run away with this game. To me this game is going to be won by a couple points and I am taking the Pacers who are better valued. The Pacers have also won both of their games this season against the Bucks and I expect a close competitive one here.

I am siding with the Pacers' spread.

Prediction: Indiana Pacers +6.5 ( -110 )

I would have loved the over between these two teams if it was lower but I think 259 is too high to expect these teams to break that over. In their two games against each other this season, neither game broke 251 points. Both the Bucks and Pacers are one of the top teams when it comes to the pace of their game. However, that doesn't always mean we will hit the over. I am looking at this game to stay closer to 250 oppose to going over 259.

Take the under at 259.

Prediction: Under 259 ( -110 )
