ITV Racing Market Movers on September 16th

ITV Racing viewers have got six excellent races from Doncaster and Chester to look forward to this afternoon, culminating with the 2023 running of the St Leger

Doncaster Market Movers - Saturday 16th September

2:25pm Annaf - 16/1 > 10/1

After Big Evs' tremendous victory in the Flying Childers Stakes yesterday, punters are backing another Mick Appleby sprinter in the Portland Handicap. ANNAF hasn't managed to build on his third-place finish in the King's Stand Stakes in four subsequent starts, but Rossa Ryan's mount returns to handicap company running off a lenient mark and could be well suited by this in-between trip.

3:00pm Sandrine - 9/2 > 3/1

Spycatcher remains the firm favourite for the Park Stakes, but SANDRINE has been backed into 3/1 second-favouritism during the course of the morning. Andrew Balding's filly ran a blinder behind Kinross in the City Of York Stakes last time out and she won't be phased by soft ground.

3:35pm Tower Of London - 12/1 > 7/1

The best-backed horse in the St Leger market this morning is undoubtedly TOWER OF LONDON. Aidan O'Brien's second-string will be aimed at the Melbourne Cup after his run in this Classic and recent performances in the Ulster Derby and Bahrain Trophy suggest he's progressing in the right direction.

Chester Market Movers - Saturday 16th September

2:40pm Innse Gal - 12/1 > 7/1

INNSE GAL was one of the least-fancied runners in this handicap when the betting opened, but Iain Jardine's five-year-old has come in for a sway of support this morning. Sam James' mount won well at Ayr on his penultimate start and didn't run badly in a much better handicap at the Ebor Festival on his most recent outing.
