Jaguars vs. Chiefs: Prediction, point spread, odds, best bet

The Jacksonville Jaguars play the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.

The game starts at 1 p.m. ET and can be seen on CBS.

The Jaguars will have the better record in the matchup after opening their season with a Week 1 win on the road against the Indianapolis Colts. The Chiefs, on the other hand, lost to the Detroit Lions by one point in the first game of the NFL’s 2023 season.

Still, it’s the Chiefs who are road favorites after beating the Jaguars twice last season en route to a Super Bowl victory:

  • Point spread: Jaguars +3.5
  • Money line: Jaguars +150
  • Over-under: 51.5 points

Chiefs at Jaguars injury report:

Jacksonville will be without rookie Antonio Johnson, and have three players — Brandon Scherff, Luke Fortner, and Tyler Lacy — listed as questionable. That entire trio should be available Sunday, though.

The Chiefs were without tight end Travis Kielce in their opener and listed him as questionable for Week 2. However, he should be good to go, as should running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who is also listed as questionable.

Advice and prediction

Becoming a team capable of toppling the Chiefs was a central thesis of the Jaguars’ 2023 offseason. The opportunity to make a statement Sunday isn’t something that’s lost on Jacksonville. While doing so against Patrick Mahomes and co. is easier said than done, the Chiefs are going to get the Jaguars’ best shot.

Prediction: Jaguars 30, Chiefs 27
