Houston is still in the early stages of a rebuild and is dealing with a lengthy list of injuries, including four key defensive players who will miss Sunday and four of its five starting offensive linemen out of action.

Texans at Jaguars injury report:
The Jaguars will be without wide receiver Zay Jones, who suffered a knee injury in Week 2. The 2022 free agent acquisition was the team’s No. 2 receiver last season and is third on the team in targets this year behind Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk.
Houston ruled out defensive backs Jalen Pitre, Derek Stingley Jr. (who was moved to injured reserve), and Tavierre Thomas, as well as linebacker Denzel Perryman and left tackle Laremy Tunsil. With the addition of Stingley, the Texans’ IR now has a dozen players.
Advice and prediction
The Texans have found a way to beat the Jaguars more often than not, including the 2022 season when Houston won only three games. That said, the Texans’ exhaustive list of injuries is a lot to overcome. And Jacksonville isn’t going to be ambushed after a Week 2 loss and an embarrassing 2022 loss to Houston. The Jaguars should roll and there’s not much reason to think they won’t.
