Jake Paul, Floyd Mayweather Jr. have altercation outside Cleveland Cavaliers-Miami Heat game

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather Jr. had a bit of an altercation outside of Miami-Dade Arena on Wednesday night as Paul was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers-Miami Heat game.

The confrontation of sorts happened as Paul was leaving the game and ran into Mayweather’s entourage, he said on social media.

A voice can be heard on the video, goading Paul about his recent loss to Tommy Fury – his first on his record – and saying, “Where you running Jake?”

Paul, who grew up in Westlake, saw it as simply being outnumbered.

“I’m not dumb. I’m tough. I don’t need to prove my toughness. … I’m not going to sit there and try to fight 50 dudes.”

The relationship between the two has been testy.

Mayweather once fought Logan Paul, Jake’s brother, in an exhibition. Jake Paul pilfered Mayweather’s hat off his head. And while reports circulated that Mayweather and Jake Paul would fight, the former said he couldn’t get up to Paul’s weight. Mayweather, 46, weighs about 30 pounds less than Paul.

For the record, Cleveland beat Miami, 104-100. The teams meet again Friday in Miami. No word on whether the fighters will, too.
