Jazz vs Nets Prediction

The Utah Jazz and the Brooklyn Nets collide at the Barclays Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Utah Jazz have been in a funk as they’ve lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back here after coming up short against the Celtics in a 122-114 road loss on Friday. Talen Horton-Tucker led the team with 28 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, Walker Kessler added 20 points with 10 rebounds and three blocks while Kendrick Nunn chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Jazz shot 47 percent from the field and nine of 29 from the 3-point line but the final score is a bit misleading as the Jazz struggled in this one and trailed by as many as 17 points before they poured in 36 points in the fourth quarter to keep it to single digits in the end.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a rut as they’ve lost six of their last nine games overall, but they will be aiming for a third straight victory here after routing the Hawks in a 124-107 win on Friday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 42 points on 16 of 24 shooting, Dorian Finney-Smith added 19 points on seven of 10 shooting while Cam Johnson chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Nets shot 55 percent from the field and 15 of 33 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the second quarter to erase an early deficit, before they exploded for 42 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 23 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 road games, 7-2-2 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Nets are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall and the Jazz are 19-9 ATS in the last 28 meetings overall.

The Jazz are still missing Kyle Kuzma, Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis, while the Nets are still missing Ben Simmons. The Jazz have really been struggling lately and they are still severely shorthanded with three of their best players sitting out, so I will probably side with the Nets who are 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall.
