Jets vs. Browns Hall of Fame Game: Point spread, odds, best bet

The NFL preseason officially kicks off on Thursday night in Canton, Ohio,  as the New York Jets play the Cleveland Browns in the annual Hall of Fame Game.

If you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.

The game starts at 8 p.m. ET and can be seen on NBC.

You won’t be seeing Aaron Rodgers or Deshaun Watson on Thursday, as both Robert Saleh and Kevin Stefanski are expected to play it safe with the bulk of their starters.

Odds via BetMGM:

  • Point spread: Jets -2
  • Money line: Jets -130 / Browns +110
  • Over-under: 33.5

Advice and prediction

It’s always difficult to predict preseason football. These are typically low-scoring affairs, and three of the last four Hall of Fame Games have come in under 33.5 points. The Jets, however, went well over that total in all of their 2022 preseason tilts, and with Zach Wilson and Chris Streveler getting the snaps for New York, the Jets would figure to have the quarterback edge. I’m taking the Jets to go above 21 points and carry the total to an over.

Prediction: Jets 24, Browns 16
