Julia Shining won the Grade 2 Demoiselle at Aqueduct Racetrack on Saturday. She is a full-sister to champion Malathaat. Julia Shining is trained by Todd Pletcher and bred by Stonestreet Stables. It is her second career start. The Demoisee is run for 101st time. There are four graded stakes races on the program. The Cigar Mile Handicap is the first race. As part of the Road to the Kentucky Oaks, the Demoielle also awarded qualifying points of 10-4-3-2-1 to its top-five finishers.
