Kansas Lottery announced the soft launch of sports betting on September 1st. The full launch begins on Sept. 8th. The soft release is to give the casinos a chance to get up and running before the official start of the professional football season.

The governor signed a law expanding the Kansas Lottery Act of 2007 to include mobile and on-site casino sports betting. It will be legal in 31 states and Washington D.C. next week.
