Haynes King has been named the starting quarterback at Texas A&M. He beat out both Max Johnson and true freshman Conner Weigman. King was the starter last year before he was injured in the second game.

Hawaii was beaten by Vanderbilt at home as an 8.5-point underdog in the first game of the season.

No. 2 Ohio State is playing No. 5 Notre Dame in the most exciting game of the week. The game is a two-point spread. The defense of Notre Notre will have to stop Ohio state's quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Georgia is playing Oregon in the first game of the college football season. Georgia has some depth on the defensive side, but it's not sure what to expect from Bulldogs QB Stetson Bennett. Oregon's defense is one of America's best, however, it has a problem scoring points.

Arkansas is playing Cincinnati in the first game of the season. Cincinnati lost a lot of players last season, including Alec Pierce, Sauce Gardner, Desmond Ridder, Jerome Ford and others. Arkansas must find production on offense now that Treylon Burks is in NFL.

No. 7 Utah plays Florida in the first college football game of the season. The line is 2.5. The game is interesting. Florida is rebuilding. Utah has garnered some playoff buzz since the Rose Bowl.

LSU is playing Florida State in the first game of the college football season. The Seminoles won last year's season 5-3. LSU fired its coach and hired Brian Kelly. Florida has a new starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels. Kramer is unsure how to play this game.
