Kylian Mbappe £259m bid, Dominik Szoboszlai latest, Romeo Lavia claim

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a fresh move for Harry Kane after Daniel Levy was informed the striker cannot leave Tottenham Hotspur outfit for free next summer.

Kane, who turns 30 on Friday, has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal with Tottenham. He has recently been the subject of two bids from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Both of the offers from Thomas Tuchel's side were rejected, with the latest, according to the Guardian, being £70m plus add-ons.

According to various publications in the national media on Sunday night, Spurs could be forced to lower their £100m asking price of their talisman in the coming weeks with the club's majority owner Joe Lewis informing chairman Levy that under no circumstances can Kane depart the club on a Bosman transfer in 2024.

It is now claimed Man United could reignite their interest in the England captain, who is yet to win a trophy during his professional career, Erik Ten Hag looks to add a sizable piece of the jigsaw to his Old Trafford side following the signings of Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Mason Mount over the last 12 months.

At least five clubs have contacted Paris Saint-Germain in recent days about signing Kylian Mbappe.

That's according to Sky Sports, who are reporting that Al Hilal have made a world-record £259m bid to sign Mbappe from PSG.

But the report also claims that at least five clubs have contacted the French side in recent days about signing Mbappe - with Premier League sides among those interested.

The report also says that PSG have received a mix of offers for Mbappe, including cash plus players, but Al Hilal have shown their intention after tabling a world-record bid.

Jurgen Klopp has provided an update on Dominik Szoboszlai, confirming the midfielder will miss this afternoon's game with an ankle injury.

Speaking to LFCTV, he said: "He rolled his ankle slightly in training, really nothing. Everybody is super-positive about it, himself first.

"If we would have today a Premier League game or whatever, he could play. So, we don't take a risk and we will see what we will do with the Leicester game after travel [and] stuff like this. But for the Bayern game he will be ready, definitely."

Al Hilal have reportedly submitted formal bid to Paris Saint-Germain in order to open talks for Kylian Mbappe.

That's according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who is reporting that the bid for Mbappe is worth around a world record €300m, but no talks on the forward's side have taken place.

Mbappe, who is expected to leave PSG this summer after revealing he won't be signing a new deal with the club, has been linked with both Liverpool and Real Madrid.

The report also claims that PSG remain convinced that Mbappe already agreed terms with Real.

Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia is the 'main target' for Liverpool and the 'doors are opening' for the 19-year-old to join the Reds this summer.

That's according to Belgium publication La Dernière Heure, via Sport Witness, who are reporting that Lavia is observing things from a distance, watching interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal evolve. He is also 'on alert', waiting for a call from his agent.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists that he's "calm" amid speculation linking his club with a move for Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe has been left out of Paris St-Germain's squad for their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea as he is refusing to sign a year's extension to his contract which ends next summer.

PSG therefore want to sell the France forward now and secure a transfer fee rather than let him go for nothing next summer.

Liverpool have been linked with the World Cup winner, but so have Real, who previously bids rejected by the Ligue 1 giants for the forward.

Asked about the specualtion on his way to cast a vote in Spain's election, Perez told La Sexta: "I am always calm."

Before he added: "Today, we vote, we don't think of anything else, it's a very important subject for the Spaniards."

Manchester City are reportedly ready to rival Liverpool for French youngster Bradley Barcola.

According to 90min.com, City are considering Lyon starlet Bradley Barcola as a potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez. The winger is set to make a move to Saudi Arabia this week.

A recent report claimed that Liverpool are keeping tabs on the winger as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.

It is also claimed that Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig have also made enquiries about Barcola's potential availability this summer.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to lodge a proposal to Bayern Munich for Joshua Kimmich.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool, along with Manchester City and Manchester United, 'will begin to send proposals' to the German giants in a bid to 'finalise' a deal. The midfielder has two years remaining on his Bayern deal.

Kimmich has been a stalwart for the German giants, who won their 11th successive Bundesliga title on a frenetic final day back in May.

The German international has made 347 appearances across all competitions during his time at the Allianz Arena.

A report from Saudi Arabia claims Liverpool midfielder Fabinho could miss out on his move to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad due to legislation regarding the import of certain breeds of animal into the country.

Fabinho - subject of a £40m bid from Al-Ittihad - owns two French bulldogs and it is suggested he is seeking 'clarity' over the situation regarding his beloved family pets.

A Saudi Arabian document leaked on social media suggested certain dogs are only allowed to enter the country if they are to be used for hunting, serve as a guard dog or if they are seeing dogs for the blind.

There is a suggestion the transfer could collapse due to the unusual issue, although reports later on Sunday claimed the president of Al-Ittihad had landed in London to press ahead with confirming a deal with all parties.

I'll begin with news emerging over the weekend.

Could another senior midfielder leave Liverpool this summer alongside Jordan Henderson and Fabinho?

Surely not.

But reports from Fichajes claim Thiago Alcantara is wanted by both Sevilla and Real Sociedad in La Liga.

Thiago was also linked with a return to Barcelona over the weekend and is said to have admirers in Saudi Arabia.

Fichajes claim Real Sociedad are favourites to sign Thiago but Sevilla remain in the race.
