La Canada Stakes Predictions, Odds, Pick (Santa Anita Park)

Ganadora and Under the Stars are the favorites in the Grade 3 La Canada Stakes on Saturday at Santa Anita. Kristenbosch is the most likely to upset the Baffert pair.  

Ganadora is the top pick for the La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita Park. She is a daughter of Quality Road and has won three of five lifetime starts for trainer Bob Baffert.

Ganadora is a two-time graded winner at Santa Anita Park. She didn't offer much resistance in the La Brea. Ganador is more likely to win than her stablemate Under the Stars.

Kirstenbosch finished third in the La Brea. She has been trained by John Sadler and is consistent on dirt. Kirsten Bosch is a good bet to upset the Baffert favorites.

Angel Nadeshiko is the most likely one in the field to go after Ganadora in early stages of this 1 1/16-mile test. She did not break her maiden until September and this will be a stakes debut.

Mr. Big's daughter, Smoothlikebuttah, is a good bet for La Canada Stakes. She has only won twice in 35 tries, but she has been competitive with some solid fillis of late.

Natural Colour is the daughter of Exceed and Excel and she finished second in the Miss America Stakes on the all-weather track at Golden Gate Fields last time. This will be the first start on dirt for the 5-year-old.
