Lakers vs. Grizzlies same-game parlay: Bet on Memphis to win Game 1

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers kick off their series against the Memphis Grizzlies this Sunday.

The pregame narrative: The Grizzlies have been spectacular at home all season long and we’re betting on them to hold serve. A pair of player props featuring Anthony Davis and Dillon Brooks round out our same-game parlay.

Check out our best Lakers vs. Grizzlies same-game parlay picks for Game 1 of their first-round playoff matchup.

Lakers vs. Grizzlies same-game parlay picks

Parlay: Grizzlies ML + Davis over 12.5 rebounds + Brooks over 1.5 threes (+265)

Grizzlies ML (-180): Memphis was the best home team in the NBA this season and we don’t expect that to wear off now that the playoffs have arrived. The Grizzlies were 35-6 at FedExForum with a league-best +10.6 home net rating.

Los Angeles won’t be a pushover, though, which is why we’re opting for a safer and more juiced-up moneyline wager rather than backing Memphis -4 against the spread.

When these teams met at FedExForum in February the Grizzlies won 121-109, though LeBron was sidelined. Dating back further, the Lakers are 2-6 in their last eight games played in Memphis. Back the home side today.

Other parlay legs

Davis over 12.5 rebounds (-182): Davis played the Grizzlies twice this season. He had 22 and 19 rebounds in those games.

If that’s not reason enough to back Los Angeles’ big man he’s also been on a tear lately, securing 13-plus rebounds in four of his past seven games.

Davis has been averaging 12.9 boards per game since the all-star break and we expect him to be a force tonight.

Brooks over 1.5 threes (-225): We’re teasing down Brooks’ 3-point prop from 2.5 to 1.5 and are taking the over. The Canadian small forward has cleared this mark in eight of his last 11 games and is shooting 35.5% from beyond the arc since the all-star break.

He shouldn’t have trouble netting a pair of deep balls against the Lakers, either. L.A. allowed the 10th-most 3-pointers per game (12.6) during the regular season.

They also conceded the ninth-most threes to small forwards, according to Fantasy Pros.
