Lakers vs. Timberwolves NBA Player Props, Odds: Picks & Predictions for Thursday

Our Lakers vs. Timberwolves NBA player props based on the best NBA odds believe Los Angeles will continue to struggle in Minneapolis on a busy day of NBA games.

The Los Angeles Lakers (16-13) have dropped three straight games and four of their last five since winning the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament. Things won't get any easier on Thursday as they travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves (20-6) in a game broadcasted on NBA TV.

With Anthony Davis turning his ankle in Wednesday's loss to the Chicago Bulls, player prop markets remain limited at this time. We still believe there is value in backing the Timberwolves, who are the top seed in the Western Conference.

Here are our best Lakers vs. Timberwolves NBA player props and NBA picks (odds via ourbest NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

SGP: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 7.5 rebounds and Timberwolves ML (-114 via ESPN BET) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Of course, playing same-game parlays on a consistent basis isn't the best way to make money while betting on sports. But it can be useful when trying to avoid being limited by our best sports betting apps, and give bettors a rooting interest in marquee matchups.

We like the idea of riding with this same-game parlay. For one, this has moved from -110 to -114 while doing this write-up, suggesting the original math was wrong. This is still playable at -115 or better, as DraftKings is offering the same SGP at -115 odds.

Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns is grabbing 9.6 rebounds per game this season, but that average is up to 10.8 during December. He has tallied double-digit boards in four of his last five games, recording at least eight rebounds in each contest over that span.

There is a legitimate chance Davis rests this game, as he's been pushing through minor injuries all season. If that's the case, we love backing KAT's rebounding ability even more.

Even if Davis plays, the Lakers rank 29th in the league in offensive rebound rate, according to Cleaning the Glass. Towns is ninth in the league in defensive rebounding, and could clean up on that end without Davis.

We will bet on KAT and the Wolves to have success against a reeling Lakers team.
