Brooks Koepka has shown out in the majors this season, collecting his fifth victory at Oak Hill over the weekend. As a result, he's sitting alone atop the odds board for this week's LIV Golf event at Trump National — read more below.

LIV Golf is back for its seventh event of the season at Trump National Country Club after a handful of top stars spent last week at Oak Hill for the PGA Championship.

Among those is the reigning PGA Champion and now five-time major winner Brooks Koepka, who sits atop the LIV betting board for the first time this season.

We break down his odds and more in our full LIV Golf DC betting preview below, including golf odds, free golf betting picks, and more.

LIV Golf DC picks and predictions

Dustin Johnson (+1,200 — 0.5 units)

After making the cut at last week’s PGA Championship, Dustin Johnson returns to LIV Golf in an attempt to secure back-to-back victories following his brilliant performance at LIV Tulsa. Still the king of LIV, DJ has now won three times, if we include his role in leading the 4 Aces to last year’s team championship at LIV Miami.

DJ’s putter was on fire in Tulsa, averaging just 1.37 putts per hole in a masterclass of efficiency. His hot putter should continue on Trump National’s bentgrass greens, something he's all too familiar with.

The most famous course with bentgrass greens is Augusta National, a venue where he's consistently succeeded. Not only did he win the 2020 Masters, but he's finished inside the Top 12 in six of his past eight appearances.

It's also no secret that DJ can drive the hell out of the ball. In his last full season on the PGA Tour, he ranked seventh in average driving distance.

Peter Uihlein (+2,200 — 0.25 units)

We're also going to back DJ’s teammate on the 4 Aces, Peter Uihlein. Uihlein saw immediate success upon joining LIV Golf in 2022, with three Top-4 finishes over his seven appearances.

This success has continued in 2023, with five Top-11 finishes over his first six starts, making him one of LIV’s most consistent golfers. While he keeps knocking on the door, perhaps Trump National is the venue where he finally knocks it down and secures his first LIV victory.

The switch to LIV was necessary for Uihlein, a guy who made just seven cuts over his past 13 appearances on Tour. However, one of those cuts occurred at the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson, the only track he played on that season that featured bentgrass greens.

Also a long hitter, Uihlein led all LIV participants at Tulsa in average driving distance.

Bryson DeChambeau (+2,200 — 0.25 units)

Speaking of long hitters, you cannot have this conversation without Bryson DeChambeau. Notoriously known as the longest hitter among professional golfers, DeChambeau’s driver should shorten this nearly 7,700-yard track.

Entering this week in the best form in quite some time, DeChambeau finished T4 at the PGA Championship. Prior to his appearance at Oak Hill, he finished seventh at LIV Tulsa, marking his best finish to date since joining the rival circuit.

The question this week for DeChambeau will be how he handles the bentgrass greens. In his last full season on Tour, he finished T8 at the Shriners, T34 at the Masters, T46 at the second Masters (this was the COVID make-up year), and T55 at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

All three of those courses sport bentgrass greens.

Odds to win LIV Golf DC

LIV Golf DC field and favorites

Brooks Koepka is healthy and has been trending towards another breakthrough for a couple of months now, with a win in Orlando, a T2 at Augusta, and some other strong finishes ultimately culminating in his fifth major championship victory at Oak Hill over the weekend. That momentum has him sitting atop the odds board for the first time this season as a +700 solo favorite.

Cameron Smith sits second on the board at +800 after a T9 at the PGA Championship and three straight Top-7 finishes here on the LIV tour. He's followed up by recent Tulsa winner Dustin Johnson at +1,100 and Talor Gooch at +1,400, who won back-to-back events in Adelaide and Singapore in April.

Making a huge jump this week is Bryson DeChambeau, who opened at 20/1 after closing at 50/1 in Tulsa. Like Koepka, Bryson appears to finally be healthy and played the best golf we've seen from him in a long time at Oak Hill, finishing T4 with rounds of 66-71-70-70.

Trump National Country Club course notes

Trump National Golf Club in Washington D.C. hosts LIV Golf in its seventh event of the season following a one-week hiatus. Trump National is a Par-72, 7,693-yard track designed by Tom Fazio.

While nobody in this field has played this course at a professional level, it has been utilized on the Senior PGA Tour. This private venue features a lengthy layout with bentgrass greens.

Distance and putting will be key here, so look for big hitters who've had success on bentgrass greens. This tournament is LIV Golf’s first appearance in America’s capital.
