Magic vs Wizards Prediction

The Orlando Magic and the Washington Wizards collide at the Capital One Arena on Friday night.

The Orlando Magic have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last six games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after having their three-game win streak halted by the Grizzlies in a 113-108 road loss on Tuesday. Franz Wagner led the team with 25 points, Paolo Banchero added 24 points with 11 rebounds and five assists while Wendell Carter Jr. chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Magic shot just 41 percent from the field and 14 of 49 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and managed just 15 points in the first quarter to trail by as many as 23 points, before they made a run in the fourth quarter to get within three points in the final seconds.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in a slump as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall, but they will be looking to stay hot in this one after blowing past the Celtics in a 130-111 win on Tuesday. Kristaps Porzingis led the way with 32 points, 13 rebounds and six assists on 14 of 21 shooting, Deni Avdija added 25 points with 10 rebounds and five assists while Monte Morris chipped in with 19 points and nine assists. As a team, the Wizards shot 54 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Celtics early and poured in 35 points in the second quarter to take a 13-point lead into halftime, before they went on another run in the third quarter to push the margin out to 23 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Magic are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 road games, 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 7-0 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Wizards are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings in Washington, the Magic are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the Magic are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Washington.

The Magic are shorthanded here as Jonathan Isaac and Kevon Harris are still out, while the Wizards are still missing Kyle Kuzma and Bradley Beal for this one. The Wizards looked great in their big upset win over the Celtics on Tuesday, but they were really struggling before that, so I’d rather go with the more consistent Magic who reeled off three straight wins before they ran into the red-hot Grizzlies in a close one on Tuesday.
