Man City vs. Arsenal Odds, Predictions & Betting Tips

Live on BT Sport 1, Manchester City host Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium (8pm).

This has the possibility of a potential title-decider as league leaders Arsenal visit the defending champions Manchester City who are just five points behind them with two games in hand.

Tipster Wizard is on hand with a comprehensive betting preview, complete with his top two tips...

Pep Guardiola’s men are on a phenomenal run of 11 wins and a draw in their last 12 games in all competitions as they keep fighting on three fronts going into the final phase of the season.

Having just knocked Bayern Munich out of the Champions League quarter-finals and eased past Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-final, City now look to take a giant step towards retaining their Premier League title with a win over Arsenal this week.

They have played 12 games at the Etihad this year and won every single one of them, scoring a massive 43 goals in the process.

As for the visitors, their title challenge has taken a serious hit after three consecutive draws against Liverpool, West Ham, and rock-bottom Southampton.

In two of those three draws, they were leading 2-0 and could not hold on to all three points which is concerning at this stage of the season.

Injuries to key players William Saliba, Tomiyasu and Granit Xhaka have not helped their cause either and a loss here could make it incredibly tough for them to keep hold of their top spot.

City have dominated this fixture in recent history, winning their last 11 consecutive head-to-head meetings in the Premier League, and current form suggests they should make it 12 on Wednesday.

However, Arsenal do have the best away record in the league with 36 points collected in 16 games so they are not to be underestimated.

A mouth-watering title-deciding clash awaits us and, as usual, I have you covered with two of my best betting angles included in the preview below:

Team News:

Nathan Ake is out for Manchester City, no other injuries/suspensions.

Tomiyasu, Elneny & William Saliba are out for Arsenal while Granit Xhaka is doubtful.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:

Ederson; Akanji, Dias, Laporte; Stones, Rodri; Mahrez, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Grealish; Haaland

Arsenalpossible starting lineup:

Ramsdale; White, Holding, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Jesus

Man City vs Arsenal Tips

Man City Win and Over 0 cards in the second half for Arsenal

Betbuilder Selections

  • Match result will be Man City
  • Over 0 cards in the 2nd half for Arsenal

Manchester City are in their best form of the season at the moment, having won 11 of their last 12 games in all competitions, and they are scoring goals for fun.

They possess the best home record in the league, having won 13, drawn 1, and lost just once at the Etihad all season.

Guardiola’s men have the experience of winning titles and they step up in the crucial stages of the season which makes me believe they will take care of the job here and make it 12 consecutive wins against Arsenal in the Premier League.

Arsenal’s defence is leaking goals at the moment and having just conceded three goals to rock-bottom Southampton at the Emirates, the morale in the camp is bound to be low.

As for the cards, I expect Arsenal to be chasing the game in the second half with City leading, and as a result we could see cynical fouls being committed by the visitors which should comfortably result in at least one booking.

Combining these two selections gives us a solid betbuilder at 4/5 and I am happy to stake 1pt on that as our main pick for this game.

Jack Grealish anytime assist + Man City Over 1.5 team goals

Jack Grealish has been in sensational form for Manchester City in recent weeks, providing two assists in his last three league games.

He is averaging 1.7 key passes per game and is as low as 6/4 with some bookmakers to register an assist.

As for the goals, City have scored 43 goals in eight games at the Etihad in 2023 and an Arsenal defence that has conceded a goal in six straight games will find it hard to stop them.

Combining these two selections gives us a cracking longshot @ 10/3, and I am happy to stake a small 0.25pt on that as our second selection for this game.
