Man United vs Everton prediction, odds, betting tips and best bets for Premier League clash

A narrow 1-0 Premier League home win over Brentford in midweek leaves Manchester United in charge of their own destiny this season in terms of Champions League qualification.

That victory — inspired by yet another Marcus Rashford goal — not only arrested a run of three league outings without a win for the Red Devils but it also extended their unbeaten run at Old Trafford to 24 matches across all competitions.

That streak could come in handy again as Sean Dyche's Everton visit Manchester in search of three important points as they continue to look to fight off relegation this campaign.

For all your betting needs ahead of this Premier League clash between two of England's historic outfits, The Sporting News has you covered.

Manchester United vs Everton odds

Unsurprisingly, the bookmakers make Manchester United heavy favourites to win this clash with Everton.

That 1-0 victory against Brentford will have boosted confidence around Old Trafford significantly following a three-match winless streak in the league. Their fantastic home form under boss Erik ten Hag also explains their favourites tag here.

Everton, on the other hand, have done well so far under manager Sean Dyche but they continue to struggle in front of goal which could be their undoing again in this clash.

Casemiro is still serving a suspension for the home side, whilstUnited will also be without Luke Shaw who limped off during his side's first half against Brentford in midweek. Christian Eriksen, Alejandro Garnacho, Donny van de Beek and Tom Heaton also all remain longer term absentees.

The visitors will be without Abdoulaye Doucouré for this trip to Old Trafford after he was sent off last time out following an altercation with Harry Kane. Andros Townsend also remains sidelined with a knee injury whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to struggle for full fitness.

Manchester United vs Everton key stats

  • Manchester United have previously beaten Everton 38 times in the Premier League — the second-most one side has beaten another across competition history.

  • Everton have only won once at Old Trafford across their prior 29 league outings (D8, L20) at the venue whilst facing the Red Devils.

  • Despite losing the six beforehand, Manchester United have now won their last three Premier League matches that have kicked off at 12:30 on a Saturday.

Manchester United vs Everton prediction

  • Moneyline lean: Everton (+550)
  • Against the spread lean: Everton +0.5 (+160)
  • Score prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Everton

Although Everton come into this clash at Old Trafford buoyed by their late point at home to Tottenham this week, Sean Dyche's side continue to struggle in front of goal.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin likely unavailable yet again for the away side through injury, Demarai Gray is likely to lead the line again. He's been in good form but as he's not an out-and-out striker, Everton will again be without a real focal point here and up against Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, he could really struggle.

As a result, a Manchester United clean sheet doesn't seem outlandish whilst with in-form Rashford in attack, the hosts should grab a couple of strikes going the other way.

Manchester United vs Everton best bet

  • Pick: Under 2.5 goals
  • Odds: -105 (BetMGM)

At -105 with BetMGM, the under 2.5 goals selection here represents good value in our opinion.

United could blow that out of the water but as mentioned before, Everton somewhat continue to struggle on the goal scoring front of late. Netting just eight times across their prior ten prior Premier League outings, overall they've hit just 23 goals through 29 league matches this campaign.

Couple that with the fact that the away side have also failed to score in seven of their 14 away league matches so far this season and you start to see why we're highlighting this selection as our best bet.

Manchester United vs Everton flier bet

  • Pick: Antony to score first
  • Odds: +600 (BetMGM)

Although Antony has struggled to adapt to the Premier League overall this season according to most, the Brazilian has enjoyed playing against Everton this season.

In both of the side's two meetings so far, Antony has netted as Everton remain the only English side who he has scored more than one goal against over his career.

On top of that, with both of his prior strikes coming on or before the 15th minute, we fancy him to add to that tally here and score first in this latest contest.
