Gunners to show dominance

The fixture between Everton and Arsenal on Merseyside last season turned out to be a turning point in both teams’ campaigns, as the Toffees eventually stayed up and the Gunners let the title slip.

This clash between the two teams will once again have major implications at both ends of the table, with Arsenal trying to chase down Manchester City at the top of the pile and Everton looking like they are due for another relegation battle.

The Toffees have taken just a single point from their first four games this term and their wait to add to that tally may go on when they play host to the Gunners.

Everton did get a crucial win over these opponents in the first game of Sean Dyche’s reign last season – but with a mounting injury list a repeat of those heroics looks unlikely.

Key men Dominic Calvert-Lewin, James Tarkowski and Michael Keane are all doubts for this clash.

Dyche’s men have struggled throughout the campaign, scoring just twice and conceding eight in four games, three of which they have lost.

They are likely to be in a relegation battle all season and are set to struggle against an Arsenal side that beat Manchester United 3-1 last time out.

In three of the previous four head-to-heads between these two teams, the Gunners have won by at least two goals – and they are fancied to overcome a goal deficit on the handicap in this one.

Everton vs Arsenal tip 1: Arsenal -1 @ 5/4 with Paddy Power

Jesus to kick on

Gabriel Jesus has struggled with injuries throughout his Arsenal career but his late goal against Manchester United before the international break could be the catalyst for the Brazilian to kick on at the Gunners.

Jesus came off the bench in that game. But as he nears match fitness he could feature from the off in this match and is fancied to find the net.

Everton vs Arsenal tip 2: Gabriel Jesus to score at any time @ 6/4 with Paddy Power

Onana can fall foul of referee

Martin Odegaard is key to Arsenal’s attacking success and has already netted twice this season.

The Norwegian scored 15 league goals and registered seven assists last season so take him to either score or register an assist in this match.

Amadou Onana is a key part of Everton’s combative midfield and he could be in for a long afternoon against Arsenal’s middle three.

The Belgian was booked nine times last season and is fancied to be shown a card in this clash.

Round off the bet builder by backing over 2.5 goals. Three of the Gunners’ four league games have brought three or more goals, and they can expose the Everton back line.

Everton vs Arsenal tip 3: Bet builder: Over 2.5 goals, Amadou Onana to be shown a card and Martin Odegaard to score or assist @ 5/1 with Paddy Power
