Maple Leafs same-game parlay predictions vs. Bruins Nov. 2: Bet on Pavel Zacha to notch a point at home

The Toronto Maple Leafs face the top squad in the Eastern Conference tonight, as the Boston Bruins look to keep a clean record in regulation.

The pregame narrative: Boston is 8-0-1, and I like the B's to cover an alt puck line at home tonight. The under also looks like a solid play based on early-season trends for both sides, and Pavel Zacha has a reasonable price to find the score sheet.

Same-game parlay Maple Leafs predictions

Parlay: Bruins +1.5 + Under 6.5 goals + Zacha to score a point (+285)

Bruins +1.5 (-278): Boasting the best record in the East, the Bruins have managed to cover this line in all nine of their games. They also have a plus-15 goal differential, which is tied for second in the NHL.

Oh, and Boston has covered a +1.5 puck line in 42 of 46 home games since the start of the 2022-23 season.

With that in mind, an outright win for Boston is more than reasonable, but I want the puck line for further security.

The Bruins cashed a +1.5 puck line in all four matchups against the Maple Leafs last season — winning three of those games straight up.

Other parlay picks

Under 6.5 goals (-155): Toronto netted 13 goals in its first two games, cashing its overs with ease. But it's been a far different story since then.

The under is 6-0-1 in the Leafs' past seven games, with an average of just 5.1 total goals per matchup in that span.

Boston is also accustomed to limited offensive outbursts, as seven of its nine games have hit the under. Only 4.9 goals per game have been scored so far in the Bruins' matchups.

Stout goaltending in Boston's crease is a key reason for that. Jeremy Swayman should be in goal tonight, and he leads the NHL in GAA (1.26) and save percentage (.957) through four games.

Zacha to record a point (-152): The retirement of Patrice Bergeron helped bump Zacha up to Boston's top line this year, which gives him a solid opportunity to notch a point on a nightly basis.

Zacha is skating almost three minutes more per game this year than he did a season ago, and he has at least one point in five of his past six games.

Only one of his six points has come on the power play, but some positive regression in that realm would make sense. Zacha is the centre on Boston's top unit, and the Bruins' PP as a whole has the third-best success rate in the league (40.7%).
