Masters Odds 2024: Scheffler Supplants Rahm as Favorite

The 2024 PGA Tour season is underway and we're continuing to look ahead to the best Masters odds from ourbest golf betting sites. We'll be updating this page regularly based on the early-season results

Jon Rahm surged from behind to overtake Brooks Koepka on Sunday in the 2023 Masters. Following the end of the 2022-23 PGA Tour season, Rahm then followed Koepka to LIV Golf, but will maintain his eligibility for the Masters as a former champion.

With Rahm's departure, his 2024 Masters odds were boosted slightly across our best sports betting apps. In his place, Scottie Scheffler has become the consensus betting favorite for the first major of the year, with Rahm and/or Rory McIlroy right behind.

Scheffler won the 2022 Masters and enters 2024 at No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).

With Koepka, Wyndham Clark, and Brian Harman winning the final three majors of 2023, respectively, will the door remain open for another long-shot winner in the first major of 2024, or will Rahm, Scheffler, or McIlroy pull through on their early billing as favorites to win the Masters?

Masters betting analysis

The Masters odds have only seen slight adjustments through the final three majors of 2023, the FedEx Cup (won by Viktor Hovland), and Rahm's long-anticipated departure to LIV Golf.

Early in the 2024 PGA Tour season, there won't be much regular movement until top golfers start to play head-to-head more often. Anyone able to get a quick early-season run of success like we've seen from Scheffler and Rahm each of the last two years will be quick to rise up the board and join the favorites.

There's still plenty of early value in this futures markets, and, that's best emphasized with our long-shot Masters pick below.

Masters odds movement

The most notable changes to the Masters odds over the last few months have seen Rahm's odds rise slightly, Hovland's odds shorten across our best sportsbooks, and Tiger Woods' odds shorten from a market-high of +13000 to a low of +6600.

Tiger returned to play in the Hero World Challenge and has stated his intentions to compete about once per month and to play in the majors.

Masters favorite 2024

Scottie Scheffler (+900 via bet365)

Scheffler was cursed with a horrible putting stroke for the latter half of the 2023 PGA Tour season, and that kept him to just two wins, with both of those coming before the Masters.

Still, the 2022 Masters champ has six total victories in the past two calendar years and is no jeopardy of losing the No. 1 spot in the OWGR. This +900 number will fall quickly if he's able to replicate his regular early-season success.

Masters odds 2024: Contender

Kim entered his first appearance at the Masters as a two-time PGA Tour winner and finished T-16 in his debut at Augusta National Golf Club. He then missed the cut in the PGA Championship but rebounded to tie for eighth in the U.S. Open and for second in the British Open.

Kim was offered as high as +7500 to win his second go-around of Augusta Nation before winning his second straight Shriners Children's Open in the fall. Another win early this season - against tougher fields - would cause these odds to shorten.

Masters odds 2024: Long shot

We were able to bet Harman at +20000 via DraftKings to win the 2024 Masters immediately following his dominant victory in the British Open. He's down to +8000 early in 2024 but that remains a playable number with Augusta National lending itself well to left-handed golfers.

Masters odds 2024: Fade

While DraftKings is offering much better odds on Thomas to win the Masters than some of our other sportsbooks of choice, this price still doesn't accurately reflect his recent game.

The 2023 PGA Champion has fallen from No. 8 to No. 26 in the OWGR since the end of the last calendar year. He has just three top-10 finishes in 2023 with nothing better than a fourth-place showing in the WM Phoenix Open in February. He also missed the cut in three of 2023's four majors with only a T-65 result in the PGA Championship.

Tiger Woods' Masters odds

Woods is listed with odds as high as +10000 to win the 2024 Masters. However, he didn't play in any of the final three majors of the year due to the injury that forced him to withdraw from the 2023 Masters.

Woods will remain a popular Masters bet once again and there's a good chance he'll close with odds shorter than this, but a bet will remain ill-advised.
