Mavericks vs Grizzlies Picks & Odds (March 20)

We have a Southwest Division showdown on Monday evening as the Dallas Mavericks (36-35, 14-21 away) battle the Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies (43-27, 29-5 home) at the FedExForum. The tip-off is scheduled for 8 PM ET. Keep reading for the Mavericks vs Grizzlies odds.

Dallas has found some success as of late, winning back-to-back games. That includes a nailbiter victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday thanks to a clutch Maxi Kleber triple. Memphis meanwhile put a beatdown on the Golden State Warriors on Saturday by a score of 133-119.

Mavericks vs Grizzlies Odds

The Grizzlies are slight 1-point favorites for Monday’s affair with -118 odds. They’re 21-12-1 ATS at home this season. The Mavs sit at +100 and have gone just 5-17 as a moneyline underdog. It’s the fourth meeting of the campaign between the two, with Memphis winning two of three thus far.

Dallas Back on Track

There’s not much time left in the season and with the NBA playoff bracket in the West extremely tight, every team needs to bring their best each and every night. Example: Dallas. Jason Kidd’s squad is currently without Luka Doncic due to a thigh injury but has managed to grab two crucial victories, putting them into sixth place in the conference and just a half-game above the slumping Warriors.

Friday’s win over the Lakers was absolutely huge, considering just two games separate them. With Luka watching from the sidelines, the Mavericks showed guts, with Kyrie Irving leading the way. The point guard erupted for 38 points and truly carried the load, with just three others finishing in double figures.

However, Kleber’s three-pointer at the buzzer was the biggest bucket of the night, capping off a 47% shooting performance from deep for Dallas. For Monday, Doncic is questionable after missing the last four contests. Whether he plays or not, this will be a tough matchup because Memphis is dominant at home. Irving is also questionable.

No Ja, no Problem

It’s no secret the Grizzlies need Morant to be available in order to make a serious run come playoff time. But for the time being, the squad is doing just fine without the superstar, who is still away from the team. They’ve won five of the last six games, taking down the likes of Golden State twice, Dallas, and others.

Taylor Jenkins’ group put in work against the Dubs Saturday, with no shortage of trash talk throughout the contest. Jaren Jackson Jr took the bull by the horns and led by example, pouring in 31 points, while Desmond Bane dropped 26. In fact, the entire starting five compiled a minimum of 13 points apiece.
