Milwaukee Brewers Fans Respond To Rumors Of Team "Being Open To Trading Anyone"

The Milwaukee Brewers are reportedly open to trading virtually everyone on their roster.   MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal reported this information from GM Meeting and said that Matt Arnold is taking a “fresh look” at everything.  Ken Rosenthal also said that a rebuild is inevitable and that it is just a matter of how proactive Milwaukee wants to be in starting to sell their key players.

Following this information being reported fans took to social media and provided their insight on the Brewers current situation.

Milwaukee Brewers fans respond to rumors of the team being open to trading anyone.

They really have 2 options, roll it back for 1 last run (sell at deadline if needed) or sell now & start the rebuild. Either way the rebuild is coming but I think with the Crews current minor league talent it hopefully will be a short rebuild & open a new playoff window soon.

Willing to trade anyone…can mean multiple things. I just hope they don’t stunt a young teams talent by ditching too many Vets. If they trade Burnes for a couple MLB players…Ok…but if they are dealing for just minor leaguers…thats a whole different deal.

Good that bites at the apple strategy clearly didn’t work because every year the glaring hole they’ve had in their roster has come back to bite them in October

Good

Can’t allow Adames and Burnes to leave in FA and not get something in return. Not how a small market team should operate

With a new manager coming in anyways, we shouldn’t expect a super competitive team next season

Trade the assets. Let young guys grow. Reset for 2025 https://t.co/CWfoQnAuYkpic.twitter.com/6AvYS4dlmM

Trading Burnes and Adames (and Woodruff prior to injury) still fits with “bites of the apple.” You don’t keep guys with 1 year remaining if your plan is to be good every year.

This is 100% in line with the “bites at the apple” strategy. You have prominent players in their walk year. Go get something for them. Soft tear down to rebuild for 2025 and beyond. You don’t have to bite the apple every year, you have to maximize total bites.

I mean everyone expect Yelich and prospects should be talked about.

It’s the life of a small market.

Brewers can still be extremely good if they trade for the right packages for Burnes and Adames. https://t.co/GxA590vXGZ
