Milwaukee Brewers: Low World Series Odds For The 2024 Season

The Milwaukee Brewers will begin spring training games this week in preparation for the 2024 season and it is never too early to talk about the World Series odds. Milwaukee finished last season with a 92-70 record and was the three seed in the National League playoffs.

The Brewers won the National League Central title before getting swept against the eventual National League Champions, the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 2024 MLB regular season is going to have a much different feel to it for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Out goes Craig Counsell as manager and goes to the Chicago Cubs as manager and in comes Pat Murphy as the new manager after being the bench coach for Milwaukee. David Stearns also left the Brewers front office to take the President of Baseball Operations position with the New York Mets and he has a long rebuild coming ahead for him.

This roster is also going to have some changes to it this season. What are the Milwaukee Brewers odds going to be for the World Series in 2024?

FanDuel Sportsbook Has the Milwaukee Brewers at +8500 to Win the World Series Title

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the Milwaukee Brewers have +8500 odds to win the World Series. Those odds are only better than eight other teams in the MLB. This means that Vegas thinks that the Brewers are going to take a step backwards this season.

Within the National League Central division, the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals each have +3500 odds to win the title, the Cincinnati Reds have +5500 odds, and the Pittsburgh Pirates have +20000 odds to win it all in 2024.

One of the biggest issues for the Brewers this season could be starting pitching. They just traded away Corbin Burnes to the Baltimore Orioles for DL Hall and Joey Ortiz. General manager Matt Arnold could potentially trade away more pieces like shortstop Willy Adames if they are out of it by the MLB trade deadline this season.

They also just brought back starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff for two years, but the starting rotation could be a problem. The best hitters on the team are Christian Yelich and William Contreras. Rookie outfielder Jackson Chourio will look to make a splash right away. The furthest this team has been in the postseason was Game 7 of the NLCS in 2018 before losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Milwaukee feels a while away from being contenders. They will need to restock the farm system this summer via trades and make it even stronger.
