Minnesota is moving up in national bowl projections. CBS Sports has the Gophers going to the Citrus Bowl, ESPN has them into the New Year's Six games. The Big Ten conference is in a down year this season. Minnesota needs to go undefeated in the regular season and beat Ohio State or Michigan in Big League Championship Game to get to a bowl. The ceiling is getting to Duke's Mayo Bowl. If the team avoids any major upsets, they might get a trip to Florida. It's unlikely, but it's not impossible. They might also get into either the ReliaQuest Bowl or the Cancun Bowl if they avoid any big upset.
Iowa hosts Michigan in the Big Ten this weekend. The game could be a good one for Minnesota. Bret Bielema's Wisconsin Badgers take on the Illinois Fighting Illini at 11 AM CDT on BTN. Michigan State visits Maryland at 2:30 PM CD t on FS1. Indiana plays at Nebraska at 6: 30 PM on TV.
