Missouri: Senate and House leaders deem sports betting legalization debate "a top priority" for next session
Sports betting is legal in 36 states, including Missouri. The state legislature is considering legalizing it. It will be reintroduced during the next legislative session. The first two weeks of sports betting in Kansas were successful. There are 20,000 grey machines in Missouri, which are not regulated. They are used to gamble on slot machines. In the first weekend of legalized sports wagering in the state, 132,00 new users came to use the sites. Rep. Dan Houx has introduced a bill to introduce a similar law. He claims it will bring in $16 million annually.
