MLB parlay picks June 13: Bet on Jays to outhit Orioles in +315 wager

Tonight’s MLB parlay picks feature a trio of team bets and a potential payout north of 3-to-1.

The pregame narrative: The Blue Jays have a stellar team batting average, and tonight they’ll face a starter who gives up hits in bunches. We’re taking Toronto to outhit Baltimore, as well as the Reds to cover an alt spread and the Cardinals to remain in an offensive rut.

MLB parlay picks

Parlay: Most hits - Blue Jays + Reds +1.5 + Cardinals under 4.5 runs (+315)

Most hits - Blue Jays (-157): We wanted to include this in tonight’s Blue Jays vs. Orioles picks, but the juice was too hefty for a straight wager. In a parlay format, though, it’s a perfect fit.

Toronto has the third-best batting average in the majors (.263), while the Orioles sit around league average at 13th (.251).

And on an individual pitcher-versus-pitcher matchup, this one greatly favours the Blue Jays.

Chris Bassitt has a .195 opponent batting average, which is sixth-best among 68 qualified starters. Baltimore’s Dean Kremer, on the other hand, has a .294 opponent batting average (66th).

Kremer has allowed 29 hits in 109 at-bats against the current Blue Jays lineup (.266 BA) with a measly 15.2% K-rate.

Other parlay picks

Reds +1.5 (-215): This week’s series between the Reds and the Royals is one of the easiest to overlook on the schedule, but that doesn’t mean bettors should give it the cold shoulder.

Cincinnati is on a nice little hot streak, with six outright wins in its past eight games, including Monday’s nail-biter in extras at Kauffman Stadium.

A moneyline pick on the Reds would be reasonable, but we’re opting for a bit of cushion against these dreadful Royals (18-48). Kansas City has only covered a -1.5 run line in three of its past 28 games.

Jordan Lyles will start for the Royals tonight. He owns a 6.84 ERA and KC has lost all 13 games that he’s started.

Cardinals under 4.5 runs (-139): Slumps don’t last forever, but we think the one happening in St. Louis right now will persist for at least another night.

The Cardinals’ offence has been in turmoil for almost three weeks now, posting a .213/.290/.371 slash line since May 24. In that span, they’ve scored 2.9 runs per game and hit this under in 15 of 17 matchups.

Tonight, St. Louis has the great misfortune of facing Alex Cobb, who tossed a six-hit shutout against this club in April. The Cardinals also fell short of this run total in a 3-2 win over Cobb and the Giants last year.
