MLB playoffs picks for AL and NL Division Series

After a thrilling wild-card weekend, four teams are moving on to the Division Series. Three of the four matchups are between teams from the same division (Dodgers-Padres, Braves-Phillies, Astros-Mariners, and Yankees-Guardians) and the other one features two teams with completely different styles of play (Yankees-Grizzlies).

The Yankees are going to beat the Indians in four games.

Atlanta has the edge when it comes to bullpens. Philadelphia's offense can make this interesting. Dodgers vs. Padres is a match-up to watch.

The Guardians are the underdog in the AL Division Series against the Yankees. FiveThirtyEight gives them a 34% chance of making the championship. The team has a better chance than the Mariners and Phillies.

The Braves are going to beat the Phillies in five games. The X-factor for the Braves is whether or not Spencer Strider will be available to start. The Phillies hit lefties well, which should come in handy against Max Fried.

The Dodgers are going to beat San Diego in four games. The Padres are not a team that can rely on left-handed pitchers.

Ranger Suárez is lined up to face Atlanta twice in this series. Suarez made five starts against the Braves during the regular season, posting a 3.21 ERA across 28 innings. Spencer Strider's injury could present issues for Atlanta's pitching staff.

The Dodgers are going to beat the San Diego Padres in the playoffs. The Dodgers outscored the Padres by 50 runs this season. The Padres have the pitching and the star power to go toe-to-toe with Los Angeles.
