Why the Browns can cover

Quarterback Deshaun Watson had a modest start to his season last week, completing 16 of 29 passes (55.2%) for 154 yards and one touchdown with one interception. He also carried five times for 45 yards (9.0 average) and a score. In six games last season as the team's starter, he completed 99 of 170 passes (58.2%) for 1,102 yards and seven touchdowns. He was picked off five times. He also rushed 36 times for 175 yards (4.9 average) and one TD.

Defensively, Cleveland is led by defensive end Myles Garrett. He had a sack last week and now has 75.5 career sacks, becoming the fifth-fastest player (85 games) since 1982 to reach 75. He will look for his seventh game in a row against a division foe and the fourth game in a row overall with a sack. He had two tackles for loss and a sack in the last meeting against the Steelers. See which team to pick here.

Why the Steelers can cover

Pittsburgh has owned the Browns since their rebirth in 1999, going 39-10-1 against them since then, including the playoffs. Among the Steelers' many weapons is wide receiver George Pickens. He had five catches in Week 1 and had 72 receiving yards and one touchdown catch in the last meeting with the Browns. He has 70 or more receiving yards in three of his past four games against divisional opponents. Pickens also has a touchdown catch in two of Pittsburgh's last three home games.

Defensively, linebacker T.J. Watt has been a beast. He had three sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup last week, his sixth career game with three or more sacks, the most in the NFL since 2017. He was one of two players last week (Montez Sweat) who had two forced fumbles in Week 1. He has 80.5 sacks in 88 career games, surpassing his brother J.J. Watt (92 games) as the second-fastest player to reach 80 sacks since 1982. Hall of Famer Reggie White needed just 71 games. See which team to pick here.
