NASCAR at Martinsville schedule, how to watch, stream, odds

The final three spots in the Championship 4 will be decided at Martinsville Speedway this weekend. Joey Logano won Las Vegas and secured his spot in title race. Kyle Larson's victory at Homestead-Miami kept the other contenders from clinching their spot.

The Xfinity 500 at Martinsville is on Sunday.

Ty Gibbs will drive the No. 23 for Kurt Busch for the 15th straight race. Alex Bowman will miss his fifth straight. Noah Gragson will fill in for him. A.J. Allmendinger will replace him in the 16 for Kaulig Racing.

The 36-car field will be split into two groups. Each group will get a 15-minute practice session on Saturday, Oct. 29 beginning at 12 p.m. ET. Qualifying begins after practice at 1:45 p., with the five fastest drivers in each group advancing to the final round. The Xfinity 500 begins at 2 p,m., ET on Sunday, October 30.

There are just eight drivers left in the race for the 2022 championship. Logano is already locked into the final round. Chastain and Elliott are the only two drivers who can clinch without a win.

Joey Logano has clinched a spot in the playoffs. He automatically advances with 50 points. Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott, William Byron, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, and Chase Briscoe are out of the playoff race.

Denny Hamlin is -5 points from 4th place. Ryan Blaney is 18 points behind Ham Lin. Christopher Bell is 33 points off 4 th place, Chase Briscoe is 44 points out of it.

Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Tyler Reddick and Austin Dillon were eliminated after the Round of 16. Kyle Larson, Austin Cindric, Daniel Suarez and Alex Bowman were also eliminated.

Eight of the 36 drivers racing Sunday have won at Martinsville. Hamlin leads all active drivers with five Martinville victories. Truex has three wins, while Busch and Keselowski each have two. Harvick, Logano, Elliott, Byron, Harrick and Brad Keselsow have one win each.

Martinsville is the shortest track in the NASCAR Cup Series at 0.526 miles. Blaney has the best average finish at Martinsvile (10.2 in 13 starts) and is winless at the track. Elliott and Byron have paced the field at this track recently.
