Nascar signs sports betting and predictive data partnership with nVenue

Nascar has signed a sports betting and predictive data partnership with nVenue.

Confirmed:

  • nVenue will collaborate directly with the league to design and develop in-race odds for sportsbooks and operators
  • In-race markets will include unique betting windows such as stage results, qualifying, pit-road betting opportunities and more
  • Multi-year deal will leverage official live racetrack data, along with historical race data points, to generate predictions and odds

Context:

Nascar is striving to improve the fan experience and this move capitalises on the increasing popularity of sports betting across the US. Sportsbook revenue in the US hit a record US$7.5 billion in 2022, up 75 per cent from the 2021 total of US$4.29 billion, according to the American Gaming Association (AGA).

Joe Solosky, managing director of sports betting at Nascar, said: “This collaboration epitomises a shared vision to entertain fans and enhance the race viewing experience. We are thrilled to pair our racing product with expert technology like nVenue’s to bring micro-betting to Nascar fans going forward.”

Coming next:

There is no confirmation as to whether the deal starts with immediate effect, before this weekend’s regular-season finale on 26th August, or if it comes into effect at the start of the 2024 season.
