NASCAR Truck Series: O'Reilly Auto Parts 150 at Mid-Ohio Odds, Analysis & Prediction

There will be a bit of a split in the NASCAR proceedings this weekend, with the Cup Series and Xfinity Series heading to Atlanta, while the Truck Series drivers will be racing in Mid-Ohio. It is that latter race that we are going to focus on with this piece, but we will also deal with the Atlanta races in separate articles later this week. This race is actually huge, as there are just 2 more regular season races to come in the Truck Series before the field is reduced to 10 drivers for the playoffs. There are a handful of drivers who look to be safe in terms of the playoffs, but down near the cut line, things are tight. Let’s take a look at the current NASCAR odds favorites for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 150 at Mid-Ohio.

NASCAR Truck Series: O’Reilly Auto Parts 150 at Mid-Ohio

When: Saturday, July 8 at 1:30 PM EST
Where: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
TV / Streaming: FS1
Radio: MRN, SiriusXM

Corey Heim

NASCAR Truck Series Odds: +400

This is only the second full season in the Truck Series for Heim, but he is making the most of it and is currently sitting atop the driver standings, albeit with a lead that is just 16 points. Heim only has 1 win on the season, but he has also been consistently in the running, picking up points at a solid clip. Of the 12 races this season, Heim has been in the top 10 on 10 different occasions, so he is always worth taking a look at for a top 5 finish. Heim did not have a great run in Mid-Ohio last season, finishing 28th overall, but I think we can expect better this weekend.

Zane Smith

NASCAR Truck Series Odds: +250

Over the last 3 seasons, no driver in the Truck Series has been more consistent than Zane Smith. After 2 straight season of finishing 2nd overall, Smith finally took the next step and walked away as the Truck Series champion at the end of 2022. He is very much in the hunt again this season, sitting 2nd overall, although he did go through a recent rough patch. Smith may have snapped out of that with a 2nd place run last time out, plus he finished 2nd at Mid-Ohio last season, so definitely worth a look this weekend.

Christian Eckes

NASCAR Truck Series Odds: +600

Eckes has been in and out of the Truck Series for the past few years, with an 8th place overall finish the best that he has managed during that time. He is on pace for a better finish this time around, as he is currently sitting in 3rd overall with just 3 races left in the regular season. He has a pair of wins to his name this season and has been in the top 5 no less than 4 times. He ran in the top 5 at Mid-Ohio last season and I think a top 5 finish might be a good bet this weekend.

Grant Enfinger

NASCAR Truck Series Odds: +650

Enfinger has been pretty consistent in his time with the Truck Series and has been in the playoffs more often than not. It looks to be more of the same this season, as he is sitting in 4th overall at this late stage of the regular season. Enfinger appears to be rounding into form at the right time, with a pair of wins over the last 6 races. He finished outside the top 10 at Mid-Ohio in 2022, but I think he will do better this time around.
