Although it’s still early, fans have become eager yet curious to see when this next edition will arrive later this year. Since there’s no release date for NBA 2K24 at this time, we here at VideoGamer have decided to provide our very own expert predictions for when we think the new game will launch, along with our very own take on when we can expect the early access period to commence as well.

NBA 2K24 release date prediction

Based on the previous two editions from NBA 2K, we at VideoGamer are predicting that the official release date for NBA 2K24 will take place on Friday, September 8, 2023. Considering NBA 2K23 and NBA 2K22 both launched on the second Friday of the month of September over these last two years, we anticipate that NBA 2K24 will follow suit once more with a similar if not identical release date.

Prior to NBA 2K22’s arrival, 2K Sports did choose to release NBA 2K21 on the very first Friday of the month that year in 2020. However, that hasn’t been the case since then, and most likely won’t be this year as well.

For those that don’t know, NBA 2K23 didn’t come with an early access period. But will that finally change for NBA 2K24? We cover that answer and cast our prediction on whether fans can expect to receive an early access period for the next hit NBA 2K video game.

At the time of this writing, it’s still unclear whether NBA 2K24 will have an early access period. As mentioned in the previous section, NBA 2K23 did not come with early access period, nor was it to be found in and among the pre order bonuses. This was also the case in previous editions as well, including NBA 2K22. With that in mind, does history repeat itself once more or will NBA 2K24 change the curb by introducing early access?

Though there’s a possibility things could change this year, we at VideoGamer are predicting that NBA 2K24 will not have an early access period once again this year. NBA 2K prides itself on its uniqueness, and seeing how well their other pre order bonuses tend to fare with the community and fans across their various editions, it would come to a surprise if they opted to change that pattern this year.

Most sports game series such as Madden, MLB The Show, and FIFA, have all catered 3-Day Early Access periods in previous editions, usually attainable by pre ordering the deluxe or ultimate editions of the games. But 2K Sports has been the sole exception that’s refrained from adding an early access period. And unless they’re aiming on cutting back on other bonuses, we expect NBA 2K24 to not have an early access period one more this year.
