NBA Futures Betting and Strategy: Nuggets are Title Contenders

NBA futures betting is like marriage. The honeymoon period is over and we have a clearer picture of the NBA landscape once the calendar flips to the New Year. I'm going to review the futures market each week using the “Something Old, Something New, something Borrowed,something Blue’ tradition as a weekly crutch to get my points across.

The Celtics are the current NBA title favorite. The Eastern Conference is stronger than the Western Conference. Nuggets are a title contender. Warriors are better value. The Celtics would be favored in the Finals against whoever comes out of the West.

Kevin Durant is no longer a contender for MVP after spraining his MCL. Joel Embiid is a candidate to replace him. Denver Nuggets are title contenders. They are +1400 at multiple books. Denver won 36-11 on the Pistons on Tuesday.

Indiana Pacers are currently 6th in the East and are 23-18. They are on the play-in bubble. A victory against the Knicks will cash the over on their preseason win total. The Pacers could still be traded.

The Southeast Division is the NFC South of the NBA. There are no good teams in the division. The Magic are a longshot to win the league.
