NBA picks: Hawks vs. Pelicans prediction, odds, over/under, spread, injury report for Saturday, Nov. 4

The Atlanta Hawks (3-2) battle the New Orleans Pelicans (4-1) Saturday in a matchup of two teams hoping to keep their winning streaks going. The Hawks have triumphed in three straight after losing their first two games, while the Pelicans are on a two-game winning streak.

Wes Matthews and Kobe Bufkin remain sidelined for Atlanta. Brandon Ingram is questionable for the Pelicans with knee injury. He has missed the team’s last three contests.

The Pelicans are 2-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total coming in at 234. New Orleans is -130 on the moneyline, while Atlanta is +110.

Hawks vs. Pelicans, 7 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Pelicans -2

Even with Ingram likely unavailable, the Pelicans have the edge against Atlanta. New Orleans ranks eighth in opponent points per game and should be able to clamp down on the Hawks, especially with Atlanta away from home. The Hawks were 20-24-1 ATS as the road team a year ago, while the Pelicans were 23-18-1 ATS as the home squad. With Zion Williamson back in the mix after getting Thursday off, look for New Orleans to win and cover in this one.

Over/Under: Under 234

Even though the Hawks are a juggernaut offensively, New Orleans isn’t quite as proficient scoring the ball. The Pelicans have relied on their defense to begin this season, and should be able to contain Atlanta in this contest. The Pelicans were 39-44 to the over a year ago, while the Hawks were 51-38. However, this is a higher number than usual and New Orleans’ defensive record early in the 2023-24 campaign is hard to bet against. Take the under in this one.
