NBA picks: Mavericks vs. Clippers prediction, odds, over/under, spread, injury report for Saturday, Nov. 25

Leonard and George are both playing, which has now made the Clippers 1-point favorites in this game. That’s good for us as Mavericks backers, getting Dallas at +1. The total is up to 236.5 and we’ll take the over there.

One of the best recent rivalries in the NBA will be on display once again Saturday when the Dallas Mavericks (10-5) travel west to face the Los Angeles Clippers (6-8). The Mavericks won their last contest, while the Clippers are coming off a loss Friday to the Pelicans.

Dereck Lively is out for the Mavericks with a back injury, and Maxi Kleber remains sidelined due to a dislocated toe. We’ll see if the Clippers rest Kawhi Leonard or Paul George on the second night of a back-to-back set.

The Mavericks are 2.5-point favorites according to DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total set at 235. Dallas is -135 on the moneyline while Los Angeles is +114.

Prior to this season, the teams have split the last eight regular-season meetings evenly. This is truly one of the budding rivalries in the NBA, and there’s some playoff history here as well. The Mavericks won the first meeting this season 144-126. Dallas is 8-7 ATS this year, while LA is 5-9 ATS. With the Clippers coming off a rough loss Friday night, I’ll take the Mavericks to get another win in this matchup.

Over/Under: Over 235

Dallas is one of the most over-friendly teams in the league at 11-4, while LA trends more towards the under with a 4-9-1 mark to the over on totals. The last meeting between these squads went well over this line, so I’ll back this game to go over again.
