NBA player props: Best bets for Thursday, December 28 featuring LeBron, Klay Thompson, Zion Williamson

We’ve got eight games on tap for Thursday’s NBA slate, with a doubleheader on NBATV. That gives bettors plenty of choices when it comes to player props to target. Here’s a few of our favorite plays for the day’s action, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

LeBron James over 44.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Hornets (-135)

James didn’t have a bad Christmas performance with 16 points, eight assists and nine rebounds. However, he was a -11 in an 11-point home loss to the Celtics, something that should sit with him for a bit. The Hornets have generally not been good defending opponents, and they could be down some of their better rotation players. Look for James to bounce back with a big overall performance Thursday.

Coby White over 3.5 3-pointers vs. Pacers (+114)

Admittedly, this line is a bit high for my liking but the payout is nice. After an eight-game stretch where he shot 49.4% from deep and went over this mark seven times, White has cooled off significantly. He’s shooting just 21.2% from deep in the last five games, going under this line every time. However, this is a spot for him to get right. The Pacers are 29th in the league in opponent three-point percentage, so White should go over this line if he keeps firing away from deep.

Jamal Murray under 6.5 assists vs. Grizzlies (-135)

Murray doesn’t get many assists in this offense with everything revolving around Nikola Jokic, so there’s already good reason to take the under on this prop. Since Ja Morant’s return to the lineup, the Grizzlies rank sixth in opponent assists allowed. It’s a tough matchup, and Murray has gone over this line just once in his last 11 games. Take the under here.

Klay Thompson over 18.5 points vs. Heat (-135)

It was a forgettable Christmas Day performance for Thompson. He went 3-12 from the floor, mustering just nine points after averaging 25.7 over the previous six games. It’s been a down year in general for Thompson, but he’s averaging 20.5 points per game in the last eight home games and has gone over this line six times. Look for him to bounce back from Monday’s rough outing with a solid scoring performance.

Zion Williamson over 6.5 rebounds vs. Jazz (-130)

The Pelicans forward has gone over this mark four times in the last five games, so he’s worth backing in this matchup. The Jazz have been stellar on the boards, ranking sixth in opponent rebounds allowed. Williamson is averaging 6.1 rebounds per game on the season, but he’ll likely look to do more as New Orleans tries to break a two-game losing streak. Take the over tonight.
