NBA player props: Best bets for Tuesday, December 12 featuring LeBron, Jokic, Paul George

There are just five games on Tuesday’s NBA slate, which means limited opportunities when it comes to finding player props to back. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t bets that offer great value. Here’s a look at our favorite player props for the day’s action, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jayson Tatum over 4.5 assists vs. Cavaliers (+124)

This is a tough matchup, because the Cavaliers rank fifth in opponent assists allowed per game. Tatum has been distributing the ball well in Boston’s offense of late, dishing at least four assists in each of the last five games. He’s gone over this line in his last two contests, and might get some additional opportunities with Cleveland’s defenders being a step slower on the second night of a back-to-back set. Back Tatum to get at least five dimes Tuesday.

LeBron James over 8.5 rebounds vs. Mavericks (+105)

James logged 11 boards in the In-Season Tournament final. He’s grabbed at least eight rebounds in four of the last six games if we count Saturday’s final. Anthony Davis is questionable tonight, so there’s a possibility James sees some playing time as a small-ball center against a Dallas frontcourt that struggles on the glass. The Mavericks rank 28th in opponent rebounds allowed, so this in an excellent matchup for James to keep dominating the boards.

Nikola Jokic triple-double vs. Bulls (+135)

The two-time league MVP has registered three triple-doubles in his last six games, coming two rebounds and assist short of making it four in Monday’s game against the Hawks. The Bulls aren’t exactly a stellar defensive unit, and Jokic came one assist shy of hitting a triple-double against Chicago in the last meeting. On the second night of a back-to-back, look for the big man to dominate in all phases of the game.

Klay Thompson over 17.5 points vs. Suns (-105)

It’s been a rough season by Thompson’s lofty standards, and it’s coming at an inopportune time for the guard as he tries to secure a big extension to stay in Golden State. Thompson’s struggles have largely come at home, where he’s averaging just 13.5 points per game on 33/30/96 shooting splits. On the road, he’s putting up 18.4 points per game on 48/40/80 splits. Thompson is 1-1 on going over this line against Phoenix this season, and he’s worth backing to get to at least 18 points tonight on the road.

Paul George over 2.5 3-pointers vs. Kings (-160)

George has been solid at hitting the triple this season, shooting 38.5% from deep. That number has gone up to 40.8% over the last six games, with George attempting 8.2 triples per game during that span. The Kings are not good at defending the perimeter, allowing opponents to shoot 38% from deep on the season. Plus, Sacramento is on the second night of a back-to-back set. Look for George to hit at least three from deep tonight.
