The Louisville Cardinals enter the ACC Championship game as a team that doesn’t have a chance at making the College Football Playoff but a chance to get a better bowl game and knock the Seminoles out of contention for the Playoff. As is, the Seminoles, even if they win, aren’t a shoo-in for the College Football Playoff.

The Cardinals will be taking on a Florida State team on a neutral field without their starting quarterback. Jordan Travis suffered a gruesome leg injury against North Alabama a few weeks back, and now, it’s all up to Tate Rodemaker.

In his first start last week against the Florida Gators, Rodemaker completed just 12 of 25 passes for 134 yards and averaged 5.4 yards per attempt. He did have one turnover-worthy play.

The game was all put on running back Trey Benson, who had three rushing scores as they narrowly defeated the Gators.

For Louisville, their No. 1 priority on defense will be keeping Benson in check. If they can do that, Rodemaker doesn’t exactly offer a ton of passing upside. He’s been with Florida State since 2020. Over that time, he’s completed 57.1% of his passes for 901 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions. This is all on 119 attempts.

The Cardinals have an excellent rushing attack, led by Jawhar Jordan. Quarterback Jack Plummer isn’t exactly a world-beater. Still, he’s proven more than serviceable this season, completing 65.4% of his passes for 2,949 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. If Plummer can manage to stay out of the turnover margin here and let the run game lead the offense with some passing mixed in, the Cardinals have a real shot here to upset the Seminoles.

The Big Ten game has been decided, and it’s the Michigan Wolverines, with Jim Harbaugh back on the sideline against the offense-less Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Wolverines are massive favorites here, and it’s believable. The Hawkeyes offense is, for the lack of a better term, pathetic. The Iowa Hawkeyes are 130th in the nation in passing yards per game at 123.4. They also rank 101st in the nation in rushing yards per game at 123.9 yards per game.

They have an excellent defense, but the Michigan offense averages 37.6 points per game. The Hawkeyes will surely give them some headaches, but the problem here is that the Hawkeyes won’t score. If they score beyond seven points, that will be a massive “win” for them here.

The over/under in this game is right around 36 points, indicating that the Hawkeyes aren’t set to score many points.

Hawkeyes quarterback Deacon Hill had less than 100 passing yards and an interception in their Week 13 13-10 win over Nebraska, and here, they have Michigan.

The Wolverines will win 30-0.

This is perhaps the most exhilarating matchup of the championship weekend. The Huskies are 12-0, and Oregon are 11-1. Oregon’s lone loss was a 36-33 defeat against Washington earlier this season in Washington.

Since then, the Huskies have had several single-score wins, while Oregon has won all their games by multiple scores.

Still, in their last matchup, Penix Jr. had 300+ yards and four touchdowns against Oregon. Wide receiver Rome Odunze had two touchdowns.

The Huskies offensive line will have their work cut out for them against this aggressive Ducks defense.

Ducks quarterback Bo Nix is likely the Heisman winner with a win here. However, there are still some notable matchups here, including Huskies edge rusher Bralen Trice coming off the right tackle.

The Huskies continue to find ways to win, and even if they don’t here, their offense is too potent—though they haven’t shown it much lately—to lose by more than 10 points.

Don’t be shocked by a Huskies upset.
