Nebraska has a new Big Ten media deal and can offer him a salary that is higher than Ole Miss' $7.25 million annually. Kiffen has held several jobs, including the NFL and the USC job, but he prefers his current job and he may turn down the offer.

Luke Fickell is a good fit for Nebraska. He was the first non-Power Five coach to lead a non of the College Football Playoff. Ficcke has won seven Coach of The Year Awards in six years at Cincinnati. His annual salary is $5 million. He lost just 17 games at Ohio State.

Matt Rhule is coming off a disastrous NFL stint in Carolina. He is a successful college coach at Baylor and Temple. His success is more impressive because of his success in recruiting. He could be a success at Lincoln. The money, resources and fan support would be better there.

Chris Klieman is a respected leader with nearly a decade of head coaching experience. Dave Aranda is just now reaching his coaching prime after jumping around jobs for the last two decades.
