Grading college football coaching hires 2022-'23: Hugh Freeze named Auburn Tigers head coach

The college football coaching carousel is moving fast. The best available jobs in college Football are the Auburn Tigers and Arizona State Sun Devils. The biggest Power 5 programs create vacancies at other programs by hiring their head coach and key staff members.

Rhule was fired by Carolina Panthers. He is a successful college football coach. Rhule has a college record of 47-43. His record at Temple and Baylor is better than average. He has the ability to build a quality team without five-star recruits. Nebraska Cornhuskers need to become relevant again. Hugh Freeze was named Auburn Tigers head coach in 2022.

Wisconsin Badgers are finalizing a deal to hire Luke Fickell as their next head coach. Fiske was fired by Paul Chryst in October. He was the head football coach at Cincinnati from 2017 to 2018. Hugh Freeze was hired as the new head coach of the Auburn Tigers. Freeze has a good track record as a head football coach, but he has also had some bad results.
