Nets vs. Bucks prediction: NBA odds, picks, best bets for Wednesday

The Brooklyn Nets return home Wednesday night to Barclays Center after handing the Pistons their record-breaking 27th straight loss Tuesday.

The Nets welcome in the Milwaukee Bucks, who had their seven-game winning streak snapped by the Knicks on Christmas Day in a 129-122 loss at Madison Square Garden.

Milwaukee seeks its seventh road win in 13 tries this season, and the Bucks have lost back-to-back games only once this season and that was in early November without Damian Lillard in both games.

The Nets have won two straight games, albeit both against Detroit following a five-game slide.

Brooklyn failed to cover Tuesday night in a 118-112 victory as a 6.5-point favorite thanks to five missed free throws in the final 30 seconds.

Milwaukee has won each of the last three matchups with Brooklyn, including a 129-125 victory at Barclays as a 4.5-point favorite on Nov. 6.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 36 points, while Cam Thomas put up 45 for Brooklyn.

Thomas hasn’t busted the 23-point mark in the last four games for the Nets, scoring a total of 37 in the past two wins against Detroit.

All four matchups between the Bucks and Nets last season finished under the total, but the November game easily eclipsed the 232.5 over/under.

Thursday’s total is up to 240.5, marking the second time this season Brooklyn is playing with an over/under of at least 240. In the first instance, the Nets won at Atlanta, 114-113, in a Dec. 6 game that went under the total by 15.5 points.

In their last 10 games, the Nets and their opponents have an average total of 233.3 points. That number drops to 228.5 in their last 10 home games.

Let’s take the under in this matchup between the Nets and Bucks.

Pick: Under 240.5 points (-110, BetMGM)
