New Jersey Devils at Columbus Blue Jackets odds, picks and predictions

The New Jersey Devils (34-13-5, 2nd in Metropolitan) continue their road trip as they face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets (16-33-4, 8th in Metropolitan) on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Nationwide Arena.

New Jersey suffered its first road loss since Jan. 26 in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Columbus snapped a four-game losing streak in its prior contest as it defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3.

I'm betting there are fewer than seven goals in this matchup and here's why.

The Devils have gone under in five of their last seven overall and are 6-0-1 to the under after scoring two or fewer goals in their prior game.

Columbus on the other hand have hit the under in four of its past six following a victory.

It should be to no surprise that the Devils are massively favored to win this game and the current moneyline price of -210 (Bet $210 to win 100) proves that.

Facing arguably the NHL's worst offense and defense this season, I expect New Jersey to cruise to an easy victory in this one, expanding its league best record on the road against an opponent with the worst record in the NHL in the Blue Jackets.
