NFL a Welcome Sight for New York Sports Betting
New York's nine online sportsbooks took $330 million in bets during the first week of the NFL season. The gross gaming revenue of $32.6 million was the highest since May. However, the 9.9% win rate for sportsbook was lowest since late July. It was a break of a six-week streak of double-digit hold percentage for hold percentages.
FanDuel saw its handle increase by almost $20 million from last week. DraftKings saw a 65% increase in week-to-week handle, but its GGR declined. Caesars Sportsbook saw an increase of 10%. PointsBet and BallyBet had decreases in weekly handle. Resorts World was the only operator to post a loss during this seven-day reporting period.
