Michigan’s Sports Betting Revenue Jumps in September
Michigan's retail and online sportsbooks handled $383.1 million in bets during September. DraftKings led the way for the first time in 2022. Brick-and-mortar sportsbook handle was $18.5 million, while mobile betting had a handle of $364. 5 million. Gross sports betting revenue was $50.4 million last month.
DraftKings overtakes FanDuel as the state's No. 1 legal sports betting operator by handle. The amount bet on DraftKings doubled from $52.5 million in August to $108.1 million. Fanduel is second with $106.3 million, BetMGM third with $74.7 million and Barstool Sportsbook at Greektown Casino fourth with £8.8 million of wagers. Online sportsbooks paid $1.62 million to the Michigan state in September.
