NFL Week 7 O/U Predictions & Picks

Atlanta Falcons vs Cincinnati Bengals

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX

Nothing has come easy for either team. The Falcons aren’t being given a lot of respect, but they’ve gutted out wins and punched above their weight class to reach a 3-3 mark. The Falcons are churning out 24.5 points per game (ppg)  but conceding 22.7 ppg. These kinds of razor thin margins have the Falcons flying by the seat of their pants.

The Bengals, meanwhile, have been slow out of  the gates. But last Sunday, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase might have had one of their best games yet, rallying to defeat the Saints 30-27 in the Bayou. The Bengals are scoring 23 ppg and concedeing 19.2 ppg

Picks: Over 47½ (-110)

Detroit Lions vs Dallas CowboysSunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

Dak Prescott is back! With Dallas’ No. 1 starter, the Cowboys offense is more creative and explosive. The question is whether he’ll come out firing at all cylinders after a pretty serious injury. Another question is whether Mike McCarthy and Dan Quinn will deviate from the heavy reliance on defense, which worked so well and delivered results while Prescott nursed his thumb back to health?

On the opposite side of the coin, the Dan Campbell’s Lions boast the most porous defense in the league, allowing a whoppingt 34 ppg. Jared Goff and the offense can put up points, but they can’t always keep up. They’re averaging 28 ppg.

Picks: Over 49 (-110)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina PanthersSunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX

What’s going on in Carolina? There’s a mad beeline for the exit.Robbie Anderson was sent packing to the Arizona Cardinals. Christian McCaffrey went to San Francisco. Makes one wonder if anyone is going to be left to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday.

Of all the games on the NFL schedule, this is one of the lowest totals on the NFL odds board. But it might be too low. Tom Brady and Co. aren’t likely to take mercy on the Panthers at all. What’s more, This will be a good opportunity for Brady and the offense to find their rhythm. The games are only going to get tougher.

Pick: Over 39 ½ (-110)

Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles ChargersSunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX

The Seattle Seahawks are a pleasant surprise as Geno Smith appears to be flourishing under Pete Carroll’s guidance. The Seahawks are one of the more offensive-minded teams (true story!) with 24.4 ppg. But the defense leaves something to be desired, allowing 27.2 ppg (third highest in the league).

This is going to be a fascinating matchup. Before the season started, few would have predicted Smith could keep up with Justin Herbert. Now, there’s a chance he just might. Certainly, the Seahawks will make a game of it and that should see a high-scoring affair take place at SoFi Stadium.

Picks Over 50 ½ (-110)

Kansas City Chiefs vs San Francisco 49ersSunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX

The much anticipated Super Bowl LIV rematch just got interesting as both sides are coming off losses in Week 6. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense will be keen to atone for last week’s disappointment against the Bills, but they’ll face a Niners defense that looks to be pretty solid (second fewest points allowed at 14.8 ppg.)

It will be a real test of San Francisco’s defense and its credentials to contain Patrick Mahomes, who is a nightmare to defend against. On the other hand, the Niners offense has been a hit and miss. Jimmy Garoppolo and Co. need a get right game and they could get it here, against a Chiefs defense that concedes 24.6 ppg.

Picks: Over 49 (-110)

  • Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans, O/U 41½ – Pick: Over 41½.
  • Green Bay Packers vs Washington Commanders O/U 41½ – Pick: Under 41½.
  • New York Giants vs Jacksonville Jaguars O/U 43½  – Pick: Under 46
  • Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens O/U 45½ –  Pick: Over 45 ½
  • New York Jets vs Denver Broncos O/U 371/2  –  Pick: Under 37½
  • Houston Texans vs Las Vegas Raiders O/U 46 – Pick Under 46
  • Pittsburgh Steelers vs Miami Dolphins O/U 45 – Pick: Over 45
  • Chicago Bears vs New England Patriots O/U 40 – Pick – Under 40
