NHL parlay picks Nov. 4: Bet on Rangers, Golden Knights to win

It's a busy slate of NHL action with 30 of 32 teams taking the ice on Saturday.

The pregame narrative: The New York Rangers and Vegas Golden Knights are in near-pick'em matchups on Saturday, and I'm rolling with both on the moneyline. The Seattle Kraken also enter a tightly contested battle with the Calgary Flames, but I'm teasing the former down to a puck-line underdog.

NHL oddsas of 1:23 p.m. on 11/04/2023.

NHL parlay picks

Parlay: Rangers moneyline + Golden Knights moneyline + Kraken +1.5 (+409)

Rangers moneyline (-108): I'm really digging New York to beat the Minnesota Wild at this price.

The Rangers are off to a hot start this season, going 8-2-0 through the first 10 games of the season. Goaltending has been a major strength as they boast the third-best save percentage (.928) in the NHL.

Jonathan Quick will be starting instead of Igor Shesterkin on Saturday, but that hasn't been a problem in 2023-24. The future Hall-of-Famer has a .982 save percentage in three games with a shutout on his ledger.

Puck-stopping has been a problem for Minnesota as it ranks 28th in team save percentage (.879) across the league. Filip Gustavsson has not been as sharp as he was a year ago, posting a .882 save percentage in six games.

New York has more road wins (six) than any other team.

Quick picks

Golden Knights moneyline (-104): Two Western Conference heavyweights will clash at T-Mobile Arena and I'm expecting Vegas to pull through.

Vegas's six home wins are more than any other squad in the league. The Golden Knights remain one of the best defensive teams in the entire league, ceding the third-fewest goals against per game (2.18).

They have the seventh-best penalty kill (88.2%) in the NHL which should limit the Avalanche's No. 14 ranked power play (20.0%).

Colorado hasn't been quite as sharp on the road this season, going 4-2-0 away from Ball Arena. One of those victories came via a shootout and it only has a plus-one goal differential as a visitor compared to a plus-nine mark in three games at home.

Kraken +1.5 (-295): Thirdly, we're banking a goal with an improving Seattle squad.

The Kraken started the year slowly, going 0-3-1 through their first four games. They've since managed to win four of their last seven contests, including back-to-back victories ahead of tonight.

Calgary has been horrid out of the gates, entering play with a 2-7-1 record and a six-game losing streak. The Flames rank 28th in goals per game (2.20) which makes it very hard to imagine they'll be able to rout Seattle.

They've failed to cover as a puck-line favourite in nine of their 10 outings this season.
