Nuggets at Rockets, Nov. 24: Prediction, point spread, odds, best bet

After Wednesday’s emphatic win over Memphis, the Houston Rockets (7-6) face tougher competition on Friday when the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets (10-5) visit Toyota Center.

If you’d like last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We have the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as all the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.

The game starts at 7 p.m. Central from Toyota Center and can be seen on the Space City Home Network and NBA League Pass.

It was just 12 days ago when the Rockets defeated perennial MVP candidate Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. Now, Houston will attempt to do it again from the same building. The rematch also counts toward the league’s 2023-24 in-season tournament standings.

Both the Rockets (1-1) and Nuggets (2-1) already have an in-season tournament loss, so each likely needs a win to have hopes of advancing to the eight-team quarterfinals in early December.

Here’s a look at Friday’s lines:

  • Point spread: Nuggets -2.5
  • Money line: Nuggets -150 / Rockets +125
  • Over-under: 214.5

Nuggets at Rockets injury/status report:

Houston’s Nov. 24 injury report lists Amen Thompson (right ankle sprain) and Victor Oladipo (left patellar tendon repair) as out. Cam Whitmore, Jermaine Samuels Jr. and Nate Hinton are on assignment with Houston’s G League club, the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Vipers.

For Friday’s game, the Nuggets will be without Jamal Murray (right hamstring strain) and Vlatko Cancar (left knee surgery).

Advice and prediction

With one of the NBA’s best defenses, Houston’s recent form (seven wins in 10 games) is legitimate. However, defeating the reigning champions for a second time in under two weeks is a major ask.

Prediction: Nuggets 110, Rockets 106
