Whitmore wins easily in the Breeders’ Cup

In a world where horses that show any amount of talent get whisked off the racetrack for the breeding shed, Whitmore was a throwback. In his 43 race career he posted 15 wins including his final grade 1 victory in the Breeders’ Cup sprint in 2020. Although the horse traveled the country for races, he frequently came home to the Hot Springs track. Year after year fans came out to see the old boy who notched wins in 6 consecutive seasons.

The gelding earned over $4.5 million in purses over his 7 year racing career.
